You honestly think the Big 12 is any better? We almost won that conference with a one legged Taylor Martinez - before he learned how to throw.
K State is probably the best team in the Big 12 and we'd stone them by 30 like always.
OU struggled against UTEP
Okie Light got thumped by Arizona (an Arizona team coached by a guy who made Michigan a joke)
Baylor almost lost to Louisiana Monroe
Kansas lost to Rice and Illinois
ISU isn't any better than Iowa
West Virginia struggled against a Maryland team that beat William and Mary 7-6.

I think people need to just let the year play out and not worry about what conference is the best, if it really matters that much to you worry about that when bowl season comes around. Outside of the top 5 there is just a bunch of good teams that are all on similar levels that just kind of depend on how they match up with whomever they are matched.

Right now, there is no conference outside the SEC that is veery good anyway. And even the SEC overall is down as well outside of Alabama and LSU.

Right now Bama and Oregon, and to some extent FSU are the best looking teams period. And no conference seems to have more than 2 really good teams. Parity all around right now.
