The Blake effect?

How much do you guys think this will affect recruiting? Any of the commitments or any who are currently considering NU?

I don't see us losing any recruits, and I am not real certain how much he is recruiting some of our current prospects. In the long run, Blake leaving is a huge loss but in the short term, I don't see us missing out on any recruits because of Blake leaving.

Lost Glover. Supposedly Townsend might base his decision on it. Coach Callahan needs to make a homerun hire to fill those big shoes.

glover decommitted long before the announcement was made that blake was leaving.

i dont think this will hurt us to much. it will depend on the hire though

It sure seems like Blake was probably hinting at leaving for quite a while, and B.C. must had been searching for a replacement even before Davis was hired at N.C. It's my gut feeling B.C. had spoken to Wyatt before the HC was fired. Otherwise, you would think the hiring of Wyatt wouldn't have been so quick and easy and things would go so smoothly. Blake is a great recruiter, but he hadn't done that much this year, or even perhaps last year for that matter. It seems like we haven't missed a beat. :bonez

I applaud Blake for for his time and effort at NU. I also wish him the best of luck in the future. That being said, it does not seem that we will miss him that much.

And I wish him the best, also. I certainly don't want to come off acting like I am downplaying his contribution to NU. I hope he succeeds at NC and can get another crack at the HC position. He seems like a great person.
