You can talk about schemes and qbs and receivers from cali ' all you want and they are important, but if we were to put our best athletes on D and really develope a strong kick a$$ O-line those changes alone would keep us in these games and eliminate these embarrassing blowouts.!!! Then work on the rest.

These things will only be accomplished with a coaching staff that is at the very least at the top in the country in those 2 areas. Unfortunately the 2 coaches that are responsible for these areas are far from the top and that is depressing

That's exactly what we did in the 90's. People always recall fondly those highlight reels of Tommy running the option. But really our kickass Blackshirt defense had more to do with us winning those titles. The 90s Blackshirts could handle any offense in the nation. This year's Blackshirts? Not so much.
