The Greatest Fans

Walk-on
I think we still are. You hear it all the time from outsiders. I think they say it for a reason. We're hard on our team and we're just as hard on ourselves. We fight over who's the better fans and who follows what rules. All in all, I think come gameday, its all set aside and we do actually become the best fans in college ball. Even looking at footage from away games... especially mizzou and cu, they have signs mocking the visiting team, or poking fun at it. while i understand that places just do that, i think we're such great fans we have respect for the game as much as the team itself. we respect the foes, and their fans. love to meet them, talk football. admit defeat. Win humbly. I dunno... i'm just glad go be a part of such a well respected and widely noted fan base. regardless of how we feel about the business, we all show up gameday in lincoln with the same enthusiam as the week before. i'm still excited for this season. i love nebraska football.

I still love the Huskers more than I can ever explain. I am just really disappointed right now as is everyone with the direction that we are going. At the beginning of the season we thought we had the Big XII this season. Now we know we will be lucky to get to the game. :hmmph

you are a spoiled fanbase. You expect to have things your way 100% of the time without working hard to get it. you think you are the football gods, but you have become a joke. you have forgotten what it takes to be a great footbal school and the college game has passed you by, leaving you, the fans, with a stupid look on your faces as to say" why doesn't anyone like us anymore, we are Nebrtaska damn it" Nebraska does not have the lure it used to. Nobody worth a damn wants to come to Nebraska and play, and it is showing on the field this year. you do not have the atheletes you used to, so i dont know why the "fans" think it is the coach/AD. It is sad to see, but Nebraska has lost its greatness, and all is left are fans looking at each other wondering what has happened.

you go ahead and be happy with a team playing like this one is at this time. I'm sure your low life bottom dredging stupidity can stumik that. Go back home and open that gaping whole under nose and shoot that sh#t in the toliet where it belongs. I'm sure your be satisfied with the lack of whining going on there.

Thanks because we need this right now................... :WTH

I'm happy and proud to be a Husker fan. I am not happy about how things have transpired this year, and I am not proud at how somethings have been handled, by fans, coaches, and players. However, despite the trials and tribulations from this season I will continue to love the Huskers and think we're going to win every game we have on our schedule. I still believe we have one of the greatest fans in college football if not college football although this season is truly testing our patience and resilience as fans with a team who is underachieving and answers are unfortunately few and far between for those of us who want answers right away.

You are entitled to your opinion, although I don't agree with it, but at least be more specific with your assumptions. Nebraska doesn't have the lure anymore---tell me when it did? The weather was the same in the 70s, 80s, & 90s as it is today, but we were still able to win. It took Texas 30 years to win another NC, but they were still in Texas surrounded by all the talent. USC wasn't that good in the 80s & 90s all the while surrounded by talent. You say it's not the coach/AD. Hello, it has everything to do with the coach/AD!!! I could take the most talented college team and lose every game, simply because I have no coaching experience. You must be an ISU fan.

I saw your pic. I am so sorry that two of your teams have been destroyed by this no talent (male chicken) sucker!

Spoiled? With what, winning? Having a tradition of winning differs from being spoiled. Nebraska is a football state. We do not forget what great football schools are about, we lead by example. We support our program, even though we as fans do not always control how it is ran. If things go bad, we are still going to be here, it is the only thing we definitely can control. We are critical of our coaches when we see our talent being wasted, because it is evident at times. We are used to not being liked, we are an easy target. It doesn't change a thing to a Husker fan.

As has already been mentioned, Nebraska hasn't changed. It was flyover country back when T.O. was running the ball down your favorite team's throat, too.

Keep the vitriol coming, though. It's funny to hear jealous people attempt to vent 40 years worth of frustration in a series of incoherent sentence fragments.

NU fans are the greatest. They will continue to be the greatest if they continue to support this team.
