Murtha to have shoulder surgery

Here are the injuried Huskers, these can have an effect on our upcoming season:

Murtha - The offensive tackle's latest ailment — a shoulder injury suffered Saturday during the Red-White football scrimmage — will keep him off of the field until at least September.

B Jax - Jackson, a sophomore, was enjoying a strong spring before injuring his right shoulder March 30, the fifth day of drills.

M. Herian - Herian, a senior, on April 6 underwent a second surgery on the leg he broke last Oct. 30 against Missouri.

D Defrand - Out with leg injury

Good post...While things have looked fairly positive this Spring, it reminds us again that the Huskers have some hurdles to overcome.

We will miss Herian, but J.B. Phillips was the most improved player this year and may step right in.
I don't know. There are very few TE's in the nation that can replace Herian. Let alone on NU

Wow Murtha seems to be plagued. hopefully he doesnt turn into that one kid from Sioux City that was highly touted but had to transfer b/c of blood clots. Who was that again?

This is scary, he may never be able to help us at full strength.
