Roughly zero people here are suggesting that there are to be no rules in our economic system. You are presenting a strawman argument in its purest form.
If you want to champion Capitalism, you have to understand that Capitalism wants to use its considerable money and influence to eliminate rules that prevent it from making more money. No strawman there. Of course these are often the same rules that make a healthier society for everyone. No strawman there, either.
Roughly zero Guy Chamberlin's suggested that anyone suggested there should be no rules in our economic system, but since the argument is about Capitalism getting a bad rap, it's germane to remind folks that people who write editorials like this and endorse capital C Capitalism want the freedom to do more than what they already do, and that's where the ideology gets ugly.
