I realize we have a lot of smaller, individual threads, but not one encompassing the entire MCU. Today, it's being reported that Benedict Cumberbatch is joining the cast of Spider-Man 3, and that it'll tie into Doctor Strange 2: Multiverse of Madness. 


This, coupled with Jamie Foxx returning as Electro from Amazing Spider-Man 2, leads me to one conclusion: we're getting a live-action Spider-Verse, and the endgame (no pun intended) is getting Tobey McGuire back in the suit.

Whatever ended up happening with the whole 'Sony pulling Spider-Man from Marvel' thing earlier this year? Did that all get sorted out and is Tom Holland still expected to play Peter Parker?
