The NEW Huskernation.com/Husker Watchsites

Eric the Red

Team HuskerBoard
Wanted to thank everyone for their submissions. If you'll look at the top of the page (just under the NEW www.HuskerNation.com banner), we have a link to a webpage that lists all the watch sites we know of.

We know it isn't complete, so if you are aware of any more sites, or you see anything that needs correction, post it to this thread or PM me. Please try and include the relevant information - name of establishment, address, contact information, etc. Also, we're interested in "permanent" watchsites; i.e., sites that can reasonably be expected to host Husker games on a regular basis. If some place is going to show just a particular game, please post it in the Plan-It Husker forum. And by all means, if you know of a "permanent" watchsite, please post it also in Plan-It Husker as well as letting us know of it.

There is also a brand new www.Huskernation.com website is now open for the new season. Please feel free to browse.

Not sure how permanent this place is, but they did advertise during the radio broadcast of today's game with FAU...I stopped in and saw the largest gathering of Husker fans I'd seen out here since we played at ASU in '96...Did my heart good to see them all..I hadn't seen much memorabilla on automobiles/houses since the previous Coaching staff..I was beginning to fear most of the Arizonans for Nebraska had started to die off.

Bar's a little "divey" so I might keep looking for a newer bar closer to my part of the valley, but if any of you want to meet at this place, pm me prior to the next(ppv)game.

http://www.huskerboard.com/forums/index.ph...st&p=462243Man..I went to a great one tonight.

My Son and I were on our way home from replacing my brakes, visiting my Brother, grabbing a large late lunch, and getting some groceries..

I get much better AM reception in my car, so I wasn't in that much of a hurry to get home..Then during a timeout, I heard an ad for a Husker watch-site in Tempe less than 10 miles from where we were.

We walk into "Bostons" at the NW corner of McClintock and Elliot and the crowd roars..I bent down and shouted to my 8 Year old Son (In his Ohio State T-Shirt) that they were yelling because WE just entered the bar...He almost laughed when I said a few of them called him "Norm".

Then we scan the crowd of about 850 people..All but about a Dozen in some sort of red Husker shirt and it's almost halftime ... some guy next to us asks if we want to sit at his table..He then left about 10 min. later.

Within minutes another guy asks if he and his friend could sit at our table and it turns out His sister lived in my hometown when I was growing up and I'd played HS Football with two of his nephews.

I just wish you could hear at least one of the 60+ TV's that were showing the game.

And when did the Pitchers become "bite-size"?...I finally caved after the waitress kept pestering us and ordered a beer...then changed my mind and asked for a pitcher thinking the others at the table might help me drink it since my designated driver was so short...The pitcher almost looked smaller than the glass she gave me to pour it in...Lucky my Son shared some of his Chocolate Milk with me.

real quick...the watch site says:
