The D was well improved when Asante came out of the game. The Niles return sparked the whole team.

That QB for SJSU was a lot better than we give them credit for....quick and accurate on the throws.

we should be happy, BUT this is not a game where we showed steady improvement. that is what we are looking for and is not too much to ask against this type of opponent! :angry:

My post will not be negative. We have work to do, but our defense played well in the red zone, and the half-time adjustments on defense were great. I have a lot of faith in our coaches, and although there were some problems, I am very optomistic about this season and our future.

Bo sounds pretty down.

The defense played better overall then last week, they were pretty stout in the 2nd half overall.

Yes we gave up 350 yards, but then again last year we gave up less than 400 only twice, and less than 375 only once. This was only the 2nd game for most of these players on defense, and they DID show improvement.

Bo just said that Turner's injury is significant, but did not clarify.

Accepting the blame for the penalties.

Says we have to get better, likes when Helu has the ball in his hands.

Only 1 really bad 2nd half defensive play.

Says they have a long way to go.

Reality hits him when he gets to film the next morning.

Need to come together as a group and play consistently.

This makes the bi-week before VA Tech that much more significant.

yeah, i thought so, no problem.......it's a messy thread. point is, it would have been nice to see the 2nd string guys get some game time.
