I don't think I've seen worse LB play at NU.....pathetic

What about the defensive ends? Martin stops to put his mouthpiece back in. They are awful. So are the tackles. Compton and Whaley don't seem to know what they're doing either.

And honestly I didn't really see the offensive PI there. Yikes. Goes to show that in games, you get away with some, and you are on the wrong side of some.

I think the refs were making up for that awful "Defensive" PI earlier

The question is whether the D will adjust. If they can figure their game out and put a stop to it, I think our depth will carry the day. But Jesus in heaven does our D just look baffled.

we are simply lucky to be ahead... our D is playing flat, slow, and confused! See all the D guys right before the ball is snapped frantically giving hand signals? WTH is that? Ridiculous!

We can get rid of this read-and-react Two Gap defense anytime. Our defense needs major work.

Agree. Our d-line stinks and it puts too much pressure on linebackers that are also awful.

Why was Bo's defense so dominant during his only year under Solich and now it just seems passive? I honestly don't get it.

He had Charlie McBride's recruits playing for him (they were seinors) 2003 was also a very easy schedule where we only played two ranked teams and were blown out by both of them thanks to a crappy offense that was statically worse than the 2002 7-7 team was.
