That is a *very* damaging penalty.
And honestly I didn't really see the offensive PI there. Yikes. Goes to show that in games, you get away with some, and you are on the wrong side of some.
I think the refs were making up for that awful "Defensive" PI earlier
yup, I agree. Made up for it and then some. This one wiped 7 legit points right off the board for UCLA. I feel for the Bruins fans.

Man, by the way, that stadium looks really red. Pretty cool

we got a huge break on that penalty. Of course, the refs missed a personal foul against ucal and that DPI first play of the game should have been offense so, eh. I just don't get our defense. When pelini first came here you could just see the difference in how aggressive we were, flying around, good agressive tackling. Every snap this game as soon as the ball is snapped our DL tries to see who can stand up the tallest, just don't get it, I really think its mostly been attitude the last couple years and I'm worried it has to do with Pelini changing his philosophy because of his obsession for not giving up big plays

Bo has had great defenses everywhere he's coached. I don't understand this AT all.
He never had to recruit those players McBride's in 2003, Saban at LSU, Stoops at OU...then Callahan gave him a ton of talent that Cozgrove was wasting. This is his first team without anyone else's players and it doesn't look good on the defensive side so far.
