Seriously though, the one problem I have is his temper. He's gonna get at least two personal fouls this year for mouthing off to officials.

I think a little passion is good, as long as we don't have a meltdown that costs us the game...he now has to remember that the players are looking to him for leadership.

 
It's a lot better than Callahan spitting on the field every 5 seconds. I even wrote him a letter asking him to stop spitting on national TV.

Well watching a few of the LSU games I did'nt see him acting on the sidelines like he did in 2003. He might have matured by now but hopefully the fire is still there.

By the way if you're a long time Husker fan you would have noticed everytime they showed Osborne on the sideline he was chewing gum. Think that's how BO and T.O. bonded. :bat

I dont know for sure how much Pelini has matured since he was at NU in 2003, but i have not heard of any incidents involving Pelini when he was at OU or LSU. I think he has matured these 4 years and I think we will see someone in the model of a Bob Stoops or Pete Carol, where Pelini will still have that fire but he will know when to say to when.

However i could be wrong, but i dont think it will be much of an issue.

Besides Callahan's spitting, the nervous tick he did with his mouth needed to be stopped, even if he had to get counseling in order to quit it. It was one of those things that you didn't notice until someone pointed it out to you that bothers the $hit out of you.

if he starts winning that will go away. you get different treatment from officials once you are established. that goes for about every sport at about every level
