The Other Basketball School in Nebraska

While I expect the Huskers to struggle as Sadler goes through a transition period, you can't help but feel this could be a big year for CU. Perhaps this is the year Dana Altman and company beats Southern Illinois and makes it to the Sweet 16. It seems like Dana is about to take the Jays to the next level. If Sadler can get things really going, the NU-CU matchups could be something special in the years to come.

Any other Jays fans out there besides myself?

I like going to the Jays games. My fiance's mom has season tickets and gives them to us for most of the games. Altman is a hell of a coach and has a ton of horses this year. I hope that Sadler can bring NU's basketball program to respectability and make the CU-NU series real exciting. There is no reason why basketball can't be successful at NU.

Not a Jay fan. I have always found it puzzling to some extent the lack of interest and coverage of Crieghton sports.Baseballs pretty decent, basketball is very good. The majority of Nebraskans could seemingly care less, and I just don't understand why they aren't supported better. IMO-lame rap.

The word is Josh Dozler will not play this year. He apparently has the worst type of knee injury, and it's not for sure if he will ever be the same again. Too bad because he's the only natural point guard CU has. They may try Nate Funk; Nick Bahe (sp?), a promising transfer from Kansas; and a Juco at the point. Bahe is suppose to have quite a motor -- I hope he can learn the position, keeping CU's hopes that this could be Dana Altman's best team.
