The secondary

I was told I overracted last week for saying this. I stand by my statement. They're terrible.

 
We may not score again but I'm sure Wisconsin will. We played well early...like I predicted but I knew we would get handled later on. The DL is playing much better, though.

 
Agreed. They're terrible. I don't care if you're young, you don't make mistakes like they're making. Ciante just plain got outrun by 5 yards by Toon on that TD. At this rate, I don't think Pelini gives out any blackshirts this year.

 
Amazing how you can drop from NFL caliber talent to shopping mall manikins. Those guys don't know whether to sh#t or wind their wristwatch. It is truly embarrassing to witness the first Pelini failure.

 
I was almost reluctant to open this thread...but I have to agree that the secondary play isn't quite there. But, keep at 'em guys. :throwdabones1:

What has all this emphasis on "technique" yielded thus far? I understand we have young guys, but what about Dennard? He was arguably just as good if not better at pressing receivers off the line than Prince was. How hard is it to put Dennard on Toon 1 on 1, the same Dennard who essentially shut down Justin Blackmon in the second half of the okie lite game last year. Let Dennard kick the sh** out of Toon, roll the coverage over to help the less experienced corner on the other side.

 
We've got to get physical. I'm not buying this 'the refs will call PI too often' line from Raymond. See what you can get away with and then adjust from there. It's too effective to write off immediately.

Coaching, or lack there of is the reason for this. Not prepared, not motivated, and then belittled. And this is not the first Pelini failure, there have been many poorly prepared teams, we just happened to get by. It will not happen in this conference this year.

The kids have no answer for what is happening to them, but the coaches do not either.

Pathetic.
