The snaps are improving

So why does it seem that Adrian still jumps to receive pretty much all of them? Is there some advantage to doing so or is this just PTSD from week on on his part?

Agreed, I can't figure it out either. There's an outside chance that this is the way he practices it. I noticed something similar last year where it's almost like it's his technique for making the defense stare at his first movement...but it also seems like that wastes a fraction of a second.

Definitely a bit confusing.

At least the snaps were good one the 2 direct snaps to Mo.  Man, those plays were straight out of the Osborne playbook.

No, they aren’t improving. As stated, this game was a step back.

Here are 2 of Wandale’s TDs.  First play snap was eye level.  2nd play snap was very high (and wide) and required a jump.

Maybe it’s all a ploy to keep 2AM from getting nonchalant about receiving the snap. With the snaps being all over the place he has to stay really dialed in.

No, I’m not serious.

OP was obviously talking about Martinez's finger snaps.  Just trying to emulate Rogers.

I think he does this so if for some reason he “misses” his upper body still blocks the ball. Some are high but he could catch them...but I think he is trying to mitigate risk.

We discussed this during the game too.  Not just the jumping for snaps, but also his refusal to slide.  The conclusion we came up with was simple.

The snaps are NOT improved. 2AM saved a couple of them from sailing past him, including on one of Wan'Dale's touchdowns.
I agree there are still some bad snaps, but he's jumping for most snaps even the good ones. And I also agree with previous comments that games 2 and 3 were more consistent that game 4 was.

The snaps being a little off and AM jumping does help the direct snap to the RB because defenders are being trained to focus on AM - That split second hesitation is all it takes.  SF was correct in stating that CJ was headed towards Rimington levels.  :)
