I live in Jefferson City, MO. I go see a TON of movies, and this is the theater I go to.

I went and saw Ironman 3 on Saturday afternoon. I had no idea this happened until now. Surprised this wasn't front page in this podunk town.

In related news, Missourians are idiots.

On an episode of the old sitcome WKRP in Cincinnati they dropped frozen turkeys out of a helicopter, some of which hit people. I think that's the *only* publicity stunt I've heard of that was more poorly conceived than this. And that was fiction.

Where the people running that theater high on meth when they came up with this idea?

Most likely, since it is Missouri.

Absolute stupidest thing I have EVER heard of. Simply unbelievable. Scary thing is that theatre manager was defending the decision and he is still out there, walking amongst us.

@NUance- This was way more poorly conceived than the fictional WKRP stunt. If I recall at least there was some confusion about turkeys being able to fly and a mix up on frozen instead of live turkeys. This modern marvel of brain power theatre manager still thinks he was right. I don't remember much except Loni Anderson's tatas from that show but I do remember the look of horror on Les Nessmans face after the turkey drop.
