...even though it don't matter what you did last week (see Usc...then troy, could it be a pattern?), but remember ISU almost lost to Northern Iowa, 1aa. just food for thought.

 
And they struggled with UNLV. This team is vulnerable, and I think we will beat them. Their pass defense is in the mid 70s overall. ZT should have a big day.

 
But will we make enough stops?? That's the key, I think. We'll score, but I'm worried about containing Meyer.

 
It seems ISU has been really playing to the level of their competition this year... I mean they played Iowa tough @ Iowa then almost lose to N. Iowa. I see us winning rather easily, but you never know

 
ISU is one of these sneaky teams. Our defense will need to play well to escape Ames with the win. If we let Blythe and Meier get back into the groove, we may be in trouble.

 
ISU has been one of those teams that should be playing better than they are on offense. Thier largest margin of victory for ISU is 4 points. And only scored more than 20 points in 2 games, northern iowa, and toledo.

 
I don't remember if you guys remember though last year we hit Meyer all day. Not to mention you think our defense is band!?!? Look at theirs! I would say our offense is also a lot better even though they have a couple good guys on offense nothing like we do though.

 
I think we can throw the Northern Iowa game out the window since ISU was probably looking foward to our game, also remember KU barely beat South Florida at home before they played us. On the other hand I think we will beat them 38-24. :restore

 
i dont know about everyone else, but i am really concerned about this game......

maybe its just cuz i live in Iowa, and all the local SPorts analysts try to pound into my head the fact that ISU is a team with BCS talent, but if Meyer and Bylthe have decent games we could be in for some trouble, those 2 work wonders together when they are clicking..

Plus, we didn't have to deal with Stevie Hicks last year, who at times is trash, but can be pretty good at the other times....

i think it comes down to on how many of em are having off days, and if you catch em all on a good day, it might be a long day for your defense........

seeing as they haven't all been "on" yet this year, im a little worried that the odds might catch up

 
If ISU had BCS talent then maybe, just maybe, when they had a chance to go to the title game the last two years they would have. And it really seams that the iowa sports guys are always overblowing thier teams. I mean, really, when was the last time ISU or iowa won anything?

 
I think one key thing to always consider is that.....being how our secondary is one of the most vulnerable ones in the nation right now....(maybe a lil overexaggeration, but you can't say by much) We can probably expect Meyer, with Blythe and Flynn, to put up at least 250 + receing yards. I mean, whouldn't you? Grixby is at least 5' inches or more shorter than both of them and Andre is still trying to click, I might be playing devils advocate here, but I'm just trying to get us into the mindset of what can be and could be....I'm hoping for something miraculous, because if Barmann had a hayday on us, I can see Blythe having a bigger one....

...But hey, since I had a sip of kool-aid tonight, I'll say 37 - 27 NU, because our Offense is that good...

 
Their pass defense is even worse than ours, plus they are starting a redshirt freshman for the first time at safety. I think both passing offenses will have some pretty good days but I think the key is who can establish the running game and control the clock. If we can do that, and force Iowa State to become one dimensional, then we should be able to win this game by a couple of scores.
