This is why I want us to be back

Read all the comments attached to this article and tell me you're not sick of the frickin' SEC. I remember we had a pretty good streak going against those guys in big games. I'd like to get that going again. I have a hard time deciding who to root for in the A&M game, but I'm definitely rooting for Ohio State. We need to get this thing turned around; I'm sick of losing. I want our team to be a physical force again. Why can't this just happen? Why!?!?!?!?!?!

It's kinda hard to refute the SEC's dominance...
I'm not refuting it. I'm just sick of it. We used to eat them for breakfast. We were more physical than them. Now we play like a bunch of pussies. It's disgusting to think about how far we've fallen. I just hope we turn things around and start evening the score, that's all...

They're also playing with a stacked deck if they're not downright cheating. They have looser standards for letting players in, and they over-sign recruits. That's not even counting the players they push from the program who don't contribute in order to free more scholarships. They do anything to win and have no ethical qualms about who they screw over to do it. Some programs have ethics and standards. You don't think a school like Notre Dame, with the sheer resources they have, could do the same thing if they wanted? That's just one example.

I think the SEC sits in the middle of the most talented area of HS football in America by far. Congrats to them! Overall one of the best runs of conferece dominance in CF history. Yes it would be great for another conference to step up but which one? I see that if the system remains the same that the SEC will vie for almost all the championships, it will be the best SEC team against the best of the rest or against another SEC team. Isn't that how the BCS wants it?

Having said all that, overall they have played the best! I am not for the bcs because of the fact only two teams get in (sorry tcu) but for now the SEC must be represented until they lose the trophy. Atleast let them lose it on the field. GO DUCKS! Well there is always next year.

if im not mistaken they allow prop 48 (or 16, or partial qualifiers...whatever u want to call it) recruits still, do they not? you know, the huge sticking point dr tom had with us joining the big 12, one of the more infamous 11-1 votes.

Oregon will win the National title game, don't worry. Its going to a be a shoot out, but Oregon's offense is too high powered for their weak secondary and defense playing away from home.

SEC is dominant right now. It's just how it is...especially the SEC West. Alabama is on an upswing, Auburn's at it's peak, LSU can't even lose games they try to lose, and Arkansas is also on and upswing.

It is very simple to beat them.

Recruit better, coach better, play better. No mystry. We have not been doing it for over ten years. Time to change.

hard to recruit better when the playing field is not level. although i dont think it matters because i think oregon wins this game easily...

Wow, that is almost word for word the reason Florida in 1995 was going to beat the Huskers.

Beating SEC teams won't stop them from thinking this.

The SEC was 1-4 against the Big10 in 2006....you think that stopped them from saying they were the best conference out there?

You don't even have to go back that far. That's what the entire world said about Oregon playing Ohio State last year.
