This is why you dont listen to ESPN talking about Nebraska

MNBIGRED

Five-Star Recruit

The analysts generally dislike Nebraska and here is a key example to prove my point.

IMO '95 Husker wouldve waxed '01 Miami and '04 USC.

Yep, and everyone said we didn't have talent then too. NU would've given Dorsey and Leiniert the beat down that Costa and Warffle got. No doubt.

My stupid WiFi isn't loading it, is this the video where Herbstreit is whining like a little girl because the '71 and '95 Huskers are in competition for greatest team ever? :laughpound

Yes

Good God people how many more times must we put this video link up here? Seriously...I understand if you are new but its not like this is something that happened recently. (sorry all....bad day at work)

KIRK HERBSTREIT AND MARK MAY ARE FREAKIN MORONS ENOUGH SAID

If you guys watch the video and at 3:14-3:18 Lou Holtz has that look of an old beagle. And both Kirk and Mark will never ever root or pick Nebraska to win any game.

Ok I did my homework and here is the schedule for all three teams

[/size]

Overall I think that Miami had a descent schedule but IMO they only played 4 tough opponents. And every Nebraska fan should all agree that we shouldn't have played in the BCS National Championship. Miami was impressive against an alright Nebraska team but still isn't impressive in my book.

04' USC

Notre Dame @ USC

41-10 USC

12/4/04

UCLA @ UCLA

29-24 USC

1/4/05

#3 Oklahoma @ Orange Bowl

55-19 USC

Overall this USC wasn't all that impressive because most of their teams that they beat were by close margins. I think that the 05' Trojans were more impressive than the 04' team even though they got beat by a very good Texas team.

95' Nebraska

41-3 Neb

11/24/95

Oklahoma @ Lincoln

37-0 Neb

1/2/96

#2 Florida @ Fiesta Bowl

62-24 Neb

Overall we had a descent schedule but didn't really play anybody good except for 4 games. To beat Colorado in Colorado 44-21 when they are ranked is pretty damn good since they play pretty good in Boulder. Washington State gave us our run for the money to only beat them by 14. But IMO why our 95' team was the greatest of all time.....cause we crushed the #2 team in the Nation....can you say gator bait.

Remember also that 60% of the points scored against us that year were AFTER the first string was done for the day.

Miami was a good team but they didn't really dominate anyone good outside of FSU and NU away from the Orange Bowl... and both FSU and NU were overrated that year, living primarily on name value rather than actual talent.

USC was a great team, but the schedule wasn't exactly strong and the Pac 10 was weak that year. They beat the teams they were supposed to beat convincingly, they beat the teams the should beat close and had a really good game against OU in the bowl game. (However in retrospect even that is a bit high as OU consistantly gets humiliated in the bowl games recently)

NU by far has the toughest schedule, the most convincing point differential and is clearly the best team to play in the modern era.
