ooofff.  glad we backed out of playing Long Beach State this weekend.

Mid week game.  Unfortunately, if the Huskers don't start swinging the bats better, it's going to be a long season.  The pitching isn't greatness, nor is it awfully bad...., but the pressure to win games 3-2, 2-1, 4-3 with this staff isn't the recipe for success. 

If we do not have a pitching staff on the mound with next-level stuff, we have to emphasize scoring 7 or 8 (and not by playing small ball).  This is college ball.  Start swinging and help your pitchers out.

Here is what has bothered me after watching Sam Houston St.  There is no energy, lack of competive juice & just going through the motions.  I have not watched the past games, so i don't if anything has changed.  Hitting is an attitude & we appear to lack swagger & the desire to win.
