I just think there is no point in having the blackshirts if it's something the coach never gives out. It was a good move turning them in last year, but I think they should be brought back. The seniors deserve to be able to wear them.

 
Give the blackshirts to the offense :P Really the only reason that we've done that on defense is that they weren't on the field very much, thanks to our offense.

 
Good question. I think the D is improving week by week. I think Bo maybe holding onto them once we see we are bowl eligable. That or waiting untl the sCUm game. Who know's.

 
I don't think Bo needs to give out any blackshirts. Iowa St is the worst offensive team in the big 12. They kept running 7 yd routes when they needed 10 yds for the first down and the Texas Tech game? Tech ran 40 something plays and still had over 400 yds or about 10 yds/play. Those are not blackshirt type numbers.

 
I'm not so sure the D can finish the rest of the season out strong enough for Bo to hand them out. Doubtful that we'll see them until next year maybe...but hoping I'm wrong in this assumption.

Name me one Defense who has kept TT under 400 yards this year?

 
not yet... lets see where we are when we play another good offense.... OU.

That will be a real test of whether or not these guys are blackshirt worthy.

I see what he is saying. As much as I didn't want to admit it...Tech Still pretty much scored at will when they had the ball. It was our Offense that kept their scoring machine off the field....if we had three and outs a lot more instead of huuuuge looooong drives, the score would not have been so pretty......so I don't think the D played very well last week.....this week, they were great!

Our head coach is a defensive genius. He'll know when it is time.

What's the worst that can happen if he waits? The bar for a blackshirt is even higher than it used to be?

Let em wait. They haven't played well enough yet....but they are getting better week to week.

Ill play devils advocate. Wouldnt it build confidence and raise the Ds play to another level to know they are a Blackshirt?? Just sayin...
