Tony Tuioti named DL Coach at Oregon

He may like to coach.  It is not always solely money.   He will have offers but we are talking about getting a chance to turn around Nebraska football.  There are still lots of folks outside the Big Ten that dream of Husker Power being back where it belongs!   He has less downside risk than upside potential, hopefully.

Hell, if he waits a year, he may have an opportunity to be Head Coach.

And we know Ed already said he's open to the idea of coming to Lincoln and turning things around--he said as much after the Riley debacle.

There is a chance for Chins to move up if Frost flops again. He may be eschewing offense publicly with this new staff but the offense remains his responsibility as with ST and defense. He doesn’t get much credit on defense because of his hands off all along coupled with his tight game control and offense focus and his refusal to assign staff specifically to disastrous STs.

New hires this year on offense and or STs with good HC resumes will get considered and have the edge of building relationships with Trev now.  But need to keep some independence from SF until results are in.

How do you get that from this tweet?
I think its simply Tuioti found Nebraska to be a job. He liked his players and presumably the people he worked with, but the team success wasn't there. If we go bowling this year, wouldn't be surprised if there was a good chance we keep him.
