Matt Herian, Sr., Nebraska

Herian finally appears to be back and ready to contribute after missing almost two years trying to recover from a broken leg that required two surgeries. He's a decent blocker, but he's an NFL caliber target, or at least he was before the injury, and he needs to prove that he can be the fast, 6-5, 245-pound wide-receiver-playing-tight-end that he was before getting hurt. From 2002 to 2004 he caught 53 passes for 1,093 yards and ten touchdowns averaging 20.7 yards per catch.

With him and the receivers we have returning and coming in, this will be a potent pass offense this season. Those stats he had will definately go up with the WCO and Taylor throwing him the ball.

I can't wait to see what he does this year!!! I hope he stays healthy so we once again can add another husker to the NFL's rosters!!! :thumbs

If our line can give Taylor some time, we should see some big plays in the passing game.
Having a tight end threat is going to make everything else better and make the line's job easier. Can't wait to see this guy back at full form. He will make a huge difference, add Maurice Purify and Kenny Wilson and it could get pretty interesting this season.

It will be nice to see a tight end on NU that can block. It was very hard for me to watch last year as the tight ends just got man handled frequently. DJR, you are right on with a threat at TE, it will help all facets of BC's game plan.
