Top 5 Favorite "riff's" of all time

Probably not even the "best" riff on the album, not exactly complex by any means, but that galloping riff that starts at :32 is a thing of beauty.
My favorite "galloping" Metallica riff was their cover of Holocaust's, "the small hours"

It starts at about 4:00

I'm a huge fan of the intro to Stone Temple Pilots - Interstate Love Song. The guitar throughout the song actually just an awesome tune. Probably my favorite song of theirs, but STP being my favorite band of all times, it's hard to choose, I love all their songs....

I like STP a lot also, but this would be fairly far down on my list of songs I like. Still a good tune though.

Megadeth "almost honest"

Bucket Head. "Night of the Slunk"

To name a couple. I've been playing guitar for 25 years now and I still enjoy a lot of Boston's stuff from their first two albums. Some of the Def Leppard stuff is pretty complex as well.

Yea I could have turned this into a STP tribute. They have some damn good ones. Plush, Dead and Bloated and I'm kind of pissed I didn't put Wicked Garden in here. That one definitely on my list.

Holy sh*t, I've committed the crime of all crimes...

I didn't list the outro for DOWN's, "Bury me in Smoke"

I realized that my original 5, were the "Rock n Roll" portion of the program, and I'd hadn't listed the Metal contingent...

Down "Bury Me in Smoke"

Celtic Frost "Dethroned Emperor"

Opeth "Blackwater Park"

Machinehead "Davidian"

Dillinger Escape Plan "43% Burnt"
