Trevor Roach 6th year?

Saw some mentions on Huskermax that he is trying to get a 6th year. He did miss 2013 with an injury. I never even thought of it, has anyone else heard anything? He'd provide much needed depth.

 
Thanks for years of service as a student athlete at UNL. Your contributions on and off the field will never be forgotten. That said, deuces! Time to tackle the next chapter of your life.

 
Wow...tough crowd.

The kid battled gallantly this year at a position hat was extremely thin. Many times, he was the most aggressive LB on the field. Next year, we are looking to be very very thin at that position. He has major game time experience.

And....you just want to say....see ya????

Even if we had one or two guys who develop to be better than him, he would be some very needed depth at that position. Who knows how much bette he could be with more of an attacking defensive scheme.

He played pretty well most of the year. Quite a few mistakes but he also had a lot of really solid games. Had maybe the defensive play of the year with the strip of Johnson against Miami. At worst he would provide some much needed depth at that position.

 
So again. With the scholarships available being very few in numbers, do you give him one and not try to get another LB in that will be here for 4-5 years?

I don't think anyone that has made a comment about him on here has said they don't appreciate what he did.

 
What's with all the negativity here? He is one of the very few players in the back 7 who actually knows how to tackle. I would love to have Trever Roach back.

There are more comments on perceived negativity than real negativity ITT unless it was cleaned up? Roach and Gerry were probably the best surprises in the first half of this season that's going on forever...
