Trip Advice: Four Corners Experts

Long story short, my sister has the US Speed Skating Championships in Salt Lake City from the 30th-Jan 4th

She's driving from Milwaukee with 2 of her friends in her VW Rabbit on the 28th, scoopin me and my big a$$ SUV in Omaha, and away we go.

Collectively we have friends/places to stay and that we want to visit for sure in Silverton, Vail, Durango, and Albuquerque.

We plan on spending about a week hitting all these spots after the skating competition.

What can I not miss? Spots along the way, or in these towns? Ive treated New Mexico and Utah like nothing more than western Nebraska over the years, speeding thru as fast as possible to get to another destination. I grew up skiing in Colorado, but havent really been back over the last ten years except multiple times dealing with the pleasures of DIA.

We're athletic, adventurous types with a penchant for serious good food.

If anyone can help, thanks!

Try some of the beers from the Marble Brewing Co if you're in ABQ. They have one that tastes like good weed.

There's several rooftop patios in ABQ as well. My favorite was Imbibe, in Nob Hill. Great view of the mountains. Also, Two Fools is just down the street, neat little Irish pub.

Btw, next time you're in Western Nebraska, stop by and I'll buy you a beer! :)

Imbibe is actually a pretty cool little club in Nob Hill. You can still smoke in there too cuz it's a cigar bar technically. Not too sure about downtown, we only went one night, but there's awesome bars/restaurants all along Central Ave
