TTU vs Minnesota

All-Conference
Texas Tech rallied from 31 points down to beat Minnesota 44-41 in double OT. Damn NFL Network carried it though so I didn't get to see it. <_<

holy crap!! I thought the title of the thread was sarcastic!

After catching a glimpse of the score online, I thought there was no way they were going to come back (as it was something like 31-7) and just stopped checking it.

Stupid bowl people...they should have put this one on TV!! Why the hell were we forced to watch Purdue/Maryland???!!

I wanna see footage from the TT game! Nicely done!! Represent the Big XII nicely!

I was watching this game at a bar here, and it was quite possibly the best comeback I have ever witnessed in my life....besides the comeback Michigan had on the Gophers a few years ago when they were being beat 28-7 at halftime. The Gopher fans thought they had it and were saying how good of a coach Mason is.....well, lets just say the feelings were a little different after the game. He has to be one of the worst college coaches in the NCAA, and the Gophers' AD will not fire him.

I was very happy to see the Big XII represented well....all of the fans were saying how much thhe Big XII sucks and that a mediocre Big 10 team is better than a top 3-4 team in the Big XII....guess not!!!!

I was flipping back and forth between the TT/MN game and the KSU/Rutgers game and both seemed to be blow outs so I basically quit watching it. When I went back to the TT game, they were down by 14 points and grabbed my attention. It was a great comeback for TT and a good win for the Big 12. We desperately needed that win to finish better than .500 in Bowl Games (if NU, OU and UT win out). I was more surprised to see Mizzou lose to Oregon St than anything. I figured KSU would lose to Rutgers and A&M would lose to Cal.

3-3

Texas, Ok St, and TT won.

Mizzou, KSU, and A&M lost.

Just the Huskers and Sooners left to play.

And that game becomes the straw that breaks the camel's back.

Glen Mason is fired by Minnesota on New Year's Eve.

His ten year reign in Minnesota. Interesting note: the final two candidates for the Minnesota job was Mason and Frank Solich.

The Star Tribune's premier sports writer (Sid Hartman) is calling for the hiring of Frank Solich as its new coach.
