Two scholarship players no longer on the roster

Though Pelini did not address this, two names no longer appearing on the Husker roster are defensive tackle Ben Martin and offensive lineman Cruz Barrett.

I wonder if they'll give them to walk-ons or hang on to them for next years class? What they should do is that credit and give it to Alex Henery as retroactive scholarship ;)

 
2 kids that couldn't make an impact and ended up buried on the depth chart. Its too bad, but it happens. Thanks to these guys for their time and good luck to them in their future endeavors.

BTW, according to rivals they're on medical scholly. Cool for them

 
If i remember right, Ben Martin started out as a TE. I thought Cruz Barrett was already off the team due to medical reasons. Or am i thinking of someone else?

I talked to my Doctor the other Day. Ben and the trainers felt it was best for his health to leave the team. He told me the reason I wanna say it was a Neck bone out of place. I also heard that Blachford tore an ACL or ACM? and had surgery. (That is hearsay from the Gas Station though)

Blatchford did tear an ACL in the spring.
