Tyler Legate looks to help carry the load

It's still not known what he'd do carrying the football between the tackles. But we know this about Tyler Legate: He is of good manners.
How many times has the Husker fullback been asked if he thinks he'll carry the football in a game? Enough times to be annoyed. That's how many.

He was asked that question yet again after Friday's practice. The native of Neligh smiled back patiently.

Then he said something that will give all those fullback lovers in this state hope.

"We'll see. We're trying some stuff out," Legate said. "But it's still got to work and they've still got to like it."

Probably one of my favorites players on this years team. Would not mind seeing him carry the rock some this year.

great kid, but unless something changes, FB has been a lost art here for a longtime...i long for the days of Tom Rathman....and an offensive line, smashmouth is so demoralizing to a defense when they just can't stop you.

Fullbacks have been running the ball in practice. I think the triple option threat will do the skers some good this year. Good Luck Tyler
