I get the report every year sent to me, People have no idea what it cost's to run a MAJOR athletic program. That's the reason they schedule lower tier football games because NEBRASKA keeps 70% of the ticket revenue - When usc and vt come to Lincoln we might only keep 55% - 60% of the ticket revenue - Title X - takes money away from the revenue producing sport's. People can WHINE all they want about playing lower tier teams, but it comes down to MONEY - Just like everything else. Steve Pederson has to answer to the Board Of Regents and a surplus is a lot easier to present than a LOSS. :horns2Well you can definately tell who the money maker for this University is!!! :lol:
