So as some of you may know, I graduated from UGA a few times and am now working on my doctorate, I also work for UGA full-time. In the last week, we have been interviewing for our new Dean of Students position. We have had some decent candidates and today we had a splendid candidate from the University of Texas-Austin. She gave a great speal, answered a multitude of questions, and had a nice resume/vitae. After the Q&A, individuals were going up to her to ask questions they didn't want to ask in front of the rest of the crowd. When it was my turn, I walked up, introuduced myself, thanked her for coming, and asked, "being a Dean of Students requires great multi-tasking ability and the ability to adhere to deadlines, if you come to a deadline and feel as though you are not going to meet it, being from UT, do you put extra time on the clock to meet it?" She laughed and we had a nice convesation afterwards. Just trying to do my part!
