Ump Blows perfect game

What if the call went the other way and the guy was safe, but called out? Would you take away the perfect game? I can't understand why a lot of people are pissed about this. The guy screwed up, admitted it publicly and apologized to Gallaraga. Both guys handled it with class. It was one out in a worthless game.

Look, the simple fact of the matter is that Jim Joyce screwed up. But, the one thing about sports that already makes them unfair is the human element. Fouls and situations are interpreted differently by all sorts of referees, and Joyce simply made a mistake. He has been vocal in his apologies and he admits that he messed up. What more do you want from the guy?
Second of all, the guy needs a break. All the people criticizing him harshly (and threatening him) are coming off as perfectly well rounded individuals that have never made a mistake, which is clearly total B.S.

I understand why people want it changed and don't want it changed. As for me, if I'm Gallaraga, I know I threw a perfect game. Everybody knows I threw a perfect game. The records just won't show it. But I understand the people who think it should be changed in the records, because some people (myself included) are compulsive and need all facets of the game recorded correctly or it makes them cringe.
But in the end, he threw a perfect game and he knows. That should be enough for Gallaraga.
