Vegas Insider's Top 25

I don't understand how LSU/Ole Miss/UCLA are underrated, but I pretty much agree with the overrated listing.

I like to compare Brian Edward's poll with the AP and Coaches. Here are the biggest discrepancies from an average of both polls for week 2:

Most underrated

Ole Miss 6 / 18.5

N Carolina 16 / 27.5

Baylor 10 / 21

LSU 15 / 21.5

UCLA 22 / 28.5 all three of these moved down in Edward's poll

Most Overrated

Iowa 27 / 13

TCU 23 / 13.5 Lost to #24 Arkansas in 2OT; dropped to 26.5 in AP/Coaches

Texas 24 / 15.5 Beat UTEP soundly; Moved up to #14 in Edward's poll

Mich St 18 / 10

Norte Dame 26 /19.5

An update of these team's performance in Week 2. TCU was exposed, Texas impressed, and there wasn't much movement in the polls outside of that. There weren't too many big match-ups this last weekend, so less opportunity for upsets.

I'll post a new comparison this week.

North Carolina 16 / 30.5 - Beats James Madison, but gives up 28 to FCS James Madison. Drops to 31 in Edwards' poll

Ole Miss 10 / 18 - Leads Bama, then loses by 5. only drops to 22 in AP/Coach Hard to evaluate IMO. It's Bama.

Florida 15 / 23 - Florida takes care of North Texas, moves up to 17.5 in AP/Coaches

Boise St 24 / 30.5 - BYE week

Texas A&M 13 / 18.5 - Edwards was right here. TAMU beats Auburn decisively, moving up to 11.5 in AP/Coaches polls

Louisville 5 / 10 - Edwards nailed it. After murdering FSU, Louisville moved up to 3.5 in the AP/Coaches

most overrated:

Iowa 21 / 12 - Edwards nailed it. Loses to FCS NDSU HAHAHAHA! drops to 27.5 in AP/Coaches

Michigan St 19 / 10 - Edwards was wrong? Beat an overrated ND team to move up to #10 in Edwards' poll

Notre Dame 25 / 18 - Loses to Mich State, drops to 34.5 in AP/Coaches

Good stuff. Definitely Wisconsin.

I'll be pretty shocked if they don't lose all three of their next three games.

 
When I look at that poll from bottom up at all the teams ahead of us I get to about 11 before I see teams that would most likely beat us or that I wouldnt be confident in beating.
