There were 7 busses that were escorted by UNL police from Lincoln to Grand Island, so I would say a lot of them. How many teammates showed up?
funeral ends ..... not a cloud in the sky. Sam said so.I drove from Omaha out to Colorado this morning. I passed through Grand Island amidst a torrential rainstorm. My windshield wipers couldn't clear the rain quick enough, traffic slowed from 75-80 to 30-35, I couldn't see more than a car in front of me.
I'm not deeply religious, but that felt more than coincidental today.
Nice. It's definitely "More Than Winning." I know you know it, I think the majority of Husker fans know it. RIP Mr. Flotz. The picture that will always stay in my head is the one with the young boy running alongside him.More than the championships, awards, or sellout streak, this makes me proud to be a Husker fan. Just as with Brook Berringer's untimely passing, we see the whole state come together to celebrate the life of a young man that ended far too soon and the incredible impact he had in the time he was here, and to offer love and support to his family. Playing for any team makes a player part of a team. Playing for Nebraska makes you a part of a family.
