Vote for Suh for the Groza award

Listen, we've got a guy on Defense, that we haven't seen in YEARS!!

He's a rallying point for this team, and the cornerstone of the defense. I know folks might get a little overzealous with the Heisman talk, but you know what, if we've got a D'lineman that is absolutely owning people, then yea, lets go a little bonkers.

I can't think of the last time a lineman, either offensive or defensive, won the Heisman.

Just let this ride...

Are you insinuating Suh doesn't belong in the Heisman race because he is a DT? The Heisman is for the most outstanding player. Sure, the media loves a QB or RB on a top five team with gaudy numbers, but that doesn't mean a defensive player can't or shouldn't be in the race. It's just harder for people to appreciate the impact of a player when their are no huge numbers in the stat column.

I'm all for Suh or Berry or Shipley or whatever other non-QB/RBs can get into the public's attention. Being more open to other positions and closer to truly naming the most outstanding player is absolutely the best thing that could happen to the Heisman trophy.

 
I hope it rides all the way to the end of the season! I want him to go to New York as at least a finalist and hell maybe even a winner!

Absolutely, if nothing else, this will help recruiting on the defensive side of the ball to see him sitting in NYC in December.

MD- A block here by Suh would be huge!

AF- It would top off what has been an incredible performance by Mr Suh once again today.

MD- If he's not on everyone's Heisman list after those 3 picks then I don't know who is.

AF- Sooners on the right hash mark kicking right to left into a slight breeze.

MD- This place is rocking!!

AF- The Sooners line up......... good snap, good hold, and WHOA!!

MD- WHOA!!!!

AF- Big Suh beat the kicker to the ball and kicked it first and it's..... it's..... it's..... it's GOOD!!!!!

MD- I have never.......

AF- Folks...... Big Suh just kicked a field goal the other way if you can believe it!!!

MD- I have never....... This place is rockin! That was huge!

AF- If that doesn't win him the Groza award I don't know what will!!!

MD- That was huge!

 
Interesting thing about that scenario - Suh would have to kick that lefty.

He could do it, too. ;)
