The former Fresno State assistant might be trying to smuggle a Logan Mankins or two back to the University of Nebraska.
"I miss the guys," said Wagner, who swung by Fresno State during a recruiting trip Monday, perhaps also to see if he could get his old job back.
"We miss Fresno a lot -- the coaches, the players, the people."
The top-20 rankings, the undefeated record, the national limelight ... wait, that's what Wagner left behind when he traded Fresno State for Lincoln, Neb., this past offseason to become the Cornhuskers' offensive line coach. Talk about bad, bad timing.
