Todd Peterson, a walk-on earns on a scholarship. They had a story about this on 10/11 last night. He turned down a Regents scholarship for a chance to walk-on to the team. Now he's earned himself an athletic scholarship by what he's done on the field. Great story and it shows the way for other in-state players.

I think that Nebraska has one of ... if not the best walk on program in the NCAA. Every kid growing up in Nebraska dreams about being a husker at night. Even if you don't get a scholarship, through hard work and determination you can still be a starter on the team. Todd proved that to everyone.

Do you guys think that there will be more scholarships rewarded to walk-ons this year. I don't know how many we could give out but I think that there are one or two more guys that are deserving of a walk-on scholarship.
