Walk-Ons: Who Gets a Scholarship?

Riley said today that the staff would be making an decision in the next week or so about which walk-ons will be put on scholarship.

By my count, we are at 81 right now, assuming Fyfe retains his. That seemed questionable a month ago but looks likely now.

So who gets the other four? Dylan Utter (Jr., OG, Papillion) seems to be a lock as he's going to start at Left Guard. Ross Dzuris (Jr., DE, Plattsmouth) and Chris Weber (Soph., LB, Elkhorn) were two names that got a lot of pub early in camp but I haven't seen them as much lately. Weber has been hurt. Plus Weber is younger but I don't know if that matters as much now. Lane Hovey (Jr., WR, Adel, Iowa) got some playing time last year and has been in the mix this year so I'd think he would be a candidate.

I think Utter has proved he deserves one.

Maybe a SR gets one to thank them for dedication.

Possibilities:

S Anthony Ridder

G Chris Long

QB Tyson Broekemeier

None of those 3 make a ton of sense...

I think the most likely ones are ones you listed in terms of guys who have earned playing time:
