Was/Is NU's offense predictable?

I don't know about anyone else, but there were several occasions this season that I could see what play was going to be ran based off of the formation. Anybody else catch on to the O?
Bunch 3 recievers to the right= HB Toss everytime it seemed...and on special occasion...HB Pass

I dont have a problem as long as it works.....

IIRC, didn't Osborne and Solich script the first drive of their games as well? I remember hearing it somewhere. I'm neutral about the idea either way, though.

I am not so concerned about the scripting of the plays but rather the plays ran out of certain formations. About 98% of every play ran with a shot gun formation is a pass. (We couldn't throw in a draw or a direct snap to the tailback once and awhile.) Also, someone mentioned the three bunch reciever set being a toss to that side (or a trick play). We could't at least fake the toss and run a bootleg or just a regular pass out of that formation.

We need to run a little bit more out of a four wide set with no fullback or tight end and we need to pass more with two tightends and a fullback in the game.

I dont buy that scripting is the problem. I also dont buy that after 15 plays a WCO gets shut down. If that was the case half the NFL teams wouldnt score in the second half.

Also, least season we started slow out of the blocks most of the time and didnt get the offense running till the second half, and we had scripted plays last season too.

The problems have to be more of a player focus/execution thing in my opinion.

How much of an issue is predicgtability? In order to be dominant a team at some point has to just be able to move the line of scrimmage even if the opponent knows what's coming. The Husker teams of the past didn't exactly fancy their way over people. They just bulldozed them. The opponents aren't all stupid, at some point we have to just plain outplay them.
