Okay, this is what I don't get. Supposedly Coz sucks, right, because our defense hasn't produced and he's the D-coord. On D, we lose the entire D-line basically from last year.

On O, we get Sam Keller in for Zac Taylor, Marlon Lucky and Quentin Castille stepping up for the running game, and pretty much the same crew. We go from Norvell to Watson, and now we're having trouble scoring touchdowns save in garbage time.

But nobody is calling for Watson's head? What's the logic here?

 
Callahan calls the plays not Watson. If Watson did call the plays I would have an issure, but he doesnt. Watson would be one of the few I'd keep off of this staff, him and Wyatt.

Okay. What does Watson do?

I'm just curious/playing Devil's advocate here, by the way...not suggesting Watson should take blame or Coz should stay :)

 
Cosgrove's had 4 years to turn things around defensively, to no avail. Didn't Watson just get here within a year or so??? Not much time to make a ton of adjustments, especially with his hands tied from the head coach.

 
Ok Watson, your role is to be my chubby little back-up man. I will get all of the notoriety. If things go bad, you will need to clean up my mess. Ok, time for tea.

I think it has as much to do with continuity as it does with coaching ability. I would hate to be a player and have an entire coaching staff dumped and completely replaced. Recruiting also.

He has done NADA! Folks just remember his Colorado teams running the ball with the zone blocking scheme under Barnett.

People are taking the "anyone but Callahan" approach. What has Watson done? Well tell me this..what could he have done!? It's hard to show what you got when you can't even perform the job you are assigned because Billy C is in charge. Watson is like a backup QB with the starting QB not doing so well. Everyone loves the backup QB because he is the guy that comes off the bench to see if he can get the team rolling. Not saying I want Watson as interim HC or that he's great or anything, but don't downgrade him for being sheltered under Callahan. Also I think he could play call a hell of a lot better than Callahan. With Callahan calling plays, we have no chance in coming back if we are down in a game. Sometimes when we are down late in a game, we do a better job at getting negative rather than positive yards and thats just sad.
