We are the darkhorse pick for 2007

"Dark horses: Virginia Tech and Nebraska. Having learned valuable lessons during their two-week bobble this past season, the Hokies, who pitched four shutouts in 2006, should be the frontrunners in the ACC next season. Don’t dwell over the loss to Georgia in the Chick-fil-A Bowl too much. That’s just the kind of offseason ploy Frank Beamer needs to get his team prepared properly for a crucial trip to LSU on Sept. 8.

If Bill Callahan can plug some big holes on defense and QB Sam Keller, a talented transfer from Arizona State, meshes into the Huskers’ stacked offense, Nebraska could build toward something special."

hmmmm....

hmmm, indeed.

I just read a similar thing here: http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/story/6351862

most of it talks about Florida but at the bottom it says:

"OK, nearly half of the SEC would seem to have the requisite talent to reach New Orleans, while Texas, Michigan (yeah, Michigan) and Nebraska threaten to rise. Unless it changes conferences, don't be surprised if Boise State runs the kids' table one more time."

A lot of people are expecting a lot from us next season already...not including our own fans. Should be an interesting season if things pan out well. We need to come out from being not ranked first, though.

And start becoming more consistent!

I said a couple of years ago that in Cally's 4th year is when

we need to start being a BCS team year to year. His 4th year is

coming up. So far so good.

I don't think next year's football season can come soon enough for me. It's going to be an exciting year.

nebraksa is the perpetual dark horse. no reporters outside of this state will say nebraska can win it all because... well, then you'd actually have to go to nebraska and report what's happening there... and who wants to go to nebraska?

heck, even when huskers had *everything* going for it in '95, everyone was just *waiting* for nebraska to lose. we were number one going into the freakin' fiesta bowl and florida was projected to win (yah, good call there guys).

nebraska will always be the dark horse. main stream media just can't swallow that anything good can come for a state in the middle of fly-over country.
