WE WANT STOOPS!!!

Has anyone seen any listings at UNL of these coaching openings? Does that have to happen first or is it just a formality?

About time that guy retired, good lord it seems as though he has been there since they started the football program.

Yep...it's already starting on one of their message boards:

"I would expect to see Phil Parker promoted but the fact that Mike Stoops hasn't taken a job at Ohio State, Nebraska, or any of the other schools trying to get him makes me wonder. Should be interesting to see how this plays out."

"I hope we can get Stoops but I'm prepared to be disappointed by an internal hire."

Sound familiar!

how angry will people be if Iowa lands Stoops, and we dont get Zook or Gill?

He came with Ferentz in 1999 so I guess you could say he has been there since their program started (minus the handful of good teams under Fry in the 80’s).
