Walk-on
Hello Huskers,
Just wanted to say hello and welcome from the Michigan State fans. This has been quite a crazy time for the B10 and the B12, but getting Univ. of Nebraska was very important for, I'd say, 99% of MSU fans. I think most of us got a pretty good education on the operations of Texas and the CF that they can bring everyone they get involved with. From what we hear, Mizzou and ND are the next obvious targets with ND being the elusive white whale of the Big Ten. After that, look for the B10 to take two of the following...Rutgers, Syracuse, Pitt, Maryland.
I know many of you will have reservations about the Big Ten, many very understandable. One thing to remember is what membership in the B10 & CIC (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Committee_on_Institutional_Cooperation) can mean for the Univ. of Nebraska. The Big Ten was formed as an academic conference as much as an athletic conference, rivaled only by the Ivy League.
As for football, I can't say that the Spartans are quite proud of our record against the Big Red...but hopefully we can work on changing that! If any of you want to check out the MSU board - Spartantailgate (RCMB- Spartantailgate.com) we'd love to have you visit.
If you don't have access to the BTNetwork on your cable channel, CALL THEM! Getting the BTN on basic cable on every TV in the nation is the goal and adding a fanbase with the reach of the Husker Nation is the biggest step in that goal.
Once again, if all rumors are true, WELCOME to the B10 and CIC!!! Let me know if you have any questions.
