Welcome to the B10

TheVest

Walk-on
I just want to to let all you Nebraska fans know how excited I was to hear such a prestigious and respectable program was being added to the conference! I can't wait for the Huskers and Buckeyes to take the field. Go Buckeyes! Michigan Sucks!

Why are all Big Ten fans so horrible and rude and disrespectful?!?! :sarcasm

I said it in another thread, everyone from the Big Ten has been awesome around here! Thanks for being so cool, and I look forward to meeting you at the games. :koolaid2:

It's because we haven't played each other yet.

yeah i have a feeling that once were in the big 10 and playing those teams were going to have other people that are fans of those teams coming on here and not being so nice. but the big 10 fans on here now are great from what I have read.

+1 Lets all soak up as much of this as we can now before we start seeing some of our new friends the same way we look at our old Big 8 foes (a conference brotherhood but not all love and hugs).

and for one year at least our "fan base" will be a whole lot bigger with Temporary-Husker-Fans in Big 10 territory!

At the same time this year will be the first time I will be rooting for Big 10 teams in all their OOC and bowl matchups!

Go Big Red/Go Big Ten!!

I'm really looking forward to Neb hitting Columbia, Ann Arbor, Madison, etc. It is a very exciting time.

With any team, you'll have good fans and you'll have bad fans. Some of the best fans I've personally met, were Penn State fans.

Then there's video on youtube of Penn State fans attacking Ohio State fans.

We always hear about USC fans not caring about their team. Then I met some great USC fans when they came to Columbus. (I even warned them about their loss to Washington - Just wish I could hear what they thought after the loss)

It all depends on the area you're in at the time. Mostly you'll have that 99% of people where there's good natured ribbing, and constant friendly harrassment. But it's that 1% that tend to be more outspoken and get all the attention.

The Big10 fans you've met have been nice, because well.....they're more mature....and currently they're sober. I guarantee you things will be different when you meet Big10 fans in person, but just keep in mind, the rude ones are really 1%.

Fixed ;)
Why would we be excited about going to the home of the Platte county courthouse?
:boxosoap

It's only home to the largest city in the Big10 as well as the largest school in the US. :madash :steam
Sorry, inside joke

Columbus, Nebraska is the county seat of Platte County, population 20971. The high school team is the Columbus Discoverers

Meant no disrespect

EDIT: BTW, Nebraska also has a Madison

I believe that is Chicago and ASU (recently overtook OSU).

Still, Columbus is an interesting city, especially if you like beer (we have an awesome historic German town). It has modern businesses, it's very clean, and has a vibrant art/cultural scene and good (I admit, not great) restaurants. Columbus has become, as Cleveland industry declined and modern Columbus grew, the largest city in Ohio.

There are bad fans everywhere though. People tend to hate on the fans of better programs more because nobody cares about bad fans from poor programs too much to actually make them angry or jealous. Did anyone really resent Texas fans so fiercely until this decade? No.
