What Are The Chances We'll Laugh About This?

Michigan State has a great defense, not good, great, but their offense isn't very good from what I understand, haven't watched them too much this year. Right now MSU is the toughest team left on our schedule and that's the game that might matter the most.

Guy hittin the pregame night before chronic. Far out man.

As much as I hope things turnaround, I will never laugh about much of what I've witnessed on the field so far this year.
there is so much that needs work, it really would be hard to believe a little "fairy dust" is suddenly going to make for big success..especially with all the injuries....sorry, ain't gonna happen.

I am ok joining and being part of the Debbie Downer club (fricking Minnesota- let that seep in, or how awesome Wyoming was going to be this season). I don't see myself laughing by the end of the season. Lots of tough football left and we can be hit-or-miss on the field. How have we looked in the last 5 nationally televised games? Again, with the right leadership on-off the field, this team can do wonders and my hope is we win out. Nothing like a big f you to a naysayer and at that moment I will eat crow. I learned about 2 games into Bo's first season to take many of the quotes from the staff etc... as pure conjecture. A change is most likely coming, but our cupboards are not bare.

Saw this quote by a Husker fan on an article on Yahoo Sports about the Husker win.

"8 games at home, a terrible schedule, and a celebration over a Hail Mary pass deflected into the hands of an unsuspecting receiver against a team that has lost their last 4. We could very possibly win 9 or 10 games and go to a major bowl, only to be destroyed."

I would say those kinds of posts are no biggie. What we saw the beginnings of yesterday was a defense that can start coming together. Pelini has shown that he can mold a defense when he has the talent to do so. This young talent on defense is something to be excited about. For a team this young, a bowl game is a long way away.......I'm excited to see if our defense can keep coming together as a unit to execute against Michigan on the road.

Who can't see some "bright spots" on defense. I agree. However, I tend to be of the view of the post mentioned above. I still see all the same things happening every game. Bo still has the "dear in the headlights" look. I don't think he had the answers. The players kept playing and he got lucky.

Wish I saw it differently.

This was a must win game for Bo. He got it. As most said last year, a win is a win. I do not think it will have any affect on the employment of Bo. The next four will. We should have won that game yesterday, Northwestern had so many injuries. I saw improvement against an injured team. If we see that same play by the defense next week, then, maybe I buy the improvement card.

I do agree that either Tommy or Ron should continue to start.
