What did we learn-Wyoming edition

JJ Husker

Assistant Coach
I learned (already knew actually but needed to experience it again) that it's better to be on the receiving end of turnovers.

We have as much If not more talent than any team in the west but we have too much trouble getting out of our own way

Really besides about 4 or 5 passes, TA was really sharp. If you could just get some consistency between games the offense can really go places.

+5 in turnovers this game and +7 for the season. Whens the last time that happened?

Really nice to see this team put it together in the 4th Q unlike last year.

Bryant will be good.

Have to stop with these unnessecary penalties. Game should've been over much sooner.

Still would like to see more pressure on pass downs without a blitz but the DEs didnt play bad.

- The space between our worst football, and our best, is larger than the Grand Canyon.

- You can absolutely count on seeing both at various times during a game.

Perhaps we should hold off a bit on overreacting early in games.

We aren't nearly as good as our final scores would indicate.

We need to put things together before the fourth quarter.

Our wide receivers are as good as we think they are.

Bruce Read is as pointless as we think he is.

Ryker can throw it to the perfect spot.

Tre Bryant can be a great back, he just has to hold tight.

We can be good enough to be 7-0 heading into Madison.

We can be bad enough to be 2-5 heading into Madison.

Run defense is very impressive thus far.

Pass defense limits the big plays (minus the one at the end of the first half) but will allow some short passes but they limit YAC. So overall improved.

Tommy actually was pretty sharp and accurate with his throws, they just weren't all the correct decision.

Its nice to be on the plus side of the turnover margin, even if some were pretty lucky

Defense hustles a lot more, allows them to get lucky with some turnover opportunities

Penalties suck and need major improvement

Bruce Read still is not making an impact

Huskers have some strange bumps on the back of the shoulder pads

Most people "over"reacting are thinking ahead to how we will play against better opponents. The way we finished the game doesn't make the problems in the first 3 quarters go away.

Tommy is phenomenally talented, but I'm worried his decision-making will be an issue again this year.
