What did you think of that 11am game time?

I thought it was pretty decent and I really went into it thinking it would suck.

Left Omaha at about 7:30, parked at a meter (tons were open) and hit Duffys, which was totally dead by 8:45. Hit Sandy's at 9:15, it was packed. Went to Embassy for about an hour, packed, went to Champions for about 30 minutes, not to packed. Headed into the game and that took soooo long! Back to Champions at half time for more drinking then off to Lazaries for Pizza after the game.

Drank all day and had a great time got back to Omaha by 5:45.

Now, it did seem a bit rushed from 8:30 until game time, that was the only draw back.

What did you guys think?

At first I thought it was going to suck as well, not a morning person by any means.....however, being older now, it didn't seem to bad. I actually enjoyed it since I could watch later games while not worrying about how the huskers would do. With that being said, I wouldn't want a season scattered with 11am starts but 2 (max) isn't bad.

We started our tailgate at 6:30 AM, drank- went to game- came out at half and ate a sausage- drank- went back in came back out- drank- after the game to the tailgate, flipped tv over to KSU game and fell asleep in a lawn chair for 8 minutes... got up drove home, showered, fell asleep by 9:30 P.M. 11:00 way too early.

Yeah, I did not LOVE it but one of them a year or maybe two would be okay with me. I really expected to hate it but it was not that bad. It was odd leaving when it was still dark out in the morning!

Maybe the early game time gives us a *slightly* larger home field advantage for teams traveling from the east, like the Michganders, tOSU or Penn State. For them it's like starting at 10:00 in the morning.

For me it just meant I had to refrain from drinking, since I had stuff to do after the game.

Edit: Ha ha! I am a stupid. It just occurred to me that I had this backwards. Occurred to me a day and a half later.

It was perfect. Nothing goes better with football than donuts. Especially donuts from Conroy's ^_^

We might need to start embracing those 11cst start times. If it had anything to do with how my Huskers performed and how the visitors played, I'm all for many more early games.

I didn't have a drop before the game. Didn't even get downtown for coffee. I stood and hollered all four quarters on pure knapplc energy, no red cup energy, no caffeine.

It sucked. NO MORE 11AM GAMES.

That mustve been brutual.

Overall I didnt mind the 11am start, but I dont want to become the norm. Its pretty depressing when your significant other says, "You're hammered" at 11:30.

11 am central is noon eastern.... ? (:

I would say that up til game time was just hell for me, because I had been drinking the night before and was on 5 hours of sleep so when I woke up, I still felt drunk. Went to tailgate at around 8--had delicious steak sandwiches, went to the game and shivered for about an hour because it was cold and I was in the shade. After that it was great, and I could still watch other teams play knowing my team had already won. I'd do it again, but probably just one more time.
