what do you say....

what do you say? do you tell someone how far away a place is in time. like so and so's house is 15 minutes away or do you say the distance in miles

this came up last christmas and I have Californian cousins who say it the miles way but I've always said it the time way. I was wondering if it was just a midwest thing or do lots of people say it my way

Time driving out there can be alot different than here. Time of day, or day of the week can make an hour difference in some trips of the same distance. Around here, unless there is an accident, you dont have that big a difference in time.

ya that's what we had talked about that was there argument but in Omaha it's not a real be deal exept around five it gets pretty busy I dunno just wondering what everybody else said
