What should we be expecting...

that the program will continue to get better, maybe not as rapidly as some would like, but in 2-3 years we will be able to make an accurate statement of wether or not this staff has adapted to the BIG in terms of gameplanning and recruiting. and hopefully we will be playing in a conference championship game

Not to lose to Northwestern at home. Compete on the road at Wisconsin and at Michigan. I don't so much mind that we lost those 2 road games as much as I mind that we did not compete and looked to be completely outplayed in all phases against those 2 teams.

Thanks for this thread. I was hoping someone would talk about our future. I agree with the above posters. I think we will get better and better as the staff gets to know each other better and as they learn their players learning styles and playing strengths/weaknesses. There is so much more to playing football than just the X's and O's in my opinion. So many more things that we probably don't even think of.

I'm excited for our future!

I would like to see us be more physical. I miss the 'smashmouth' football that Nebraska used to play. I would also like to see us choose an identity and stick with it. If we're a running team then let's be the best running team we can be and recruit/teach to that identity.

I would also like to see us use all of our players, especially when the other person is not working. That's just smart. Maybe Rex is having an off day, put in someone else. Maybe Taylor isn't playing his best, put in someone else. It could make all the difference in the world.

I too, would like to see us be competitive even if we aren't winning. It's one thing to lose a close game and know we played our best, it's completely another when we go out and get the crap beat outta us and we didn't even try.

I would like to see a change of staff with regards to our O-Line. It's time.
