TX-Husker-2011
Five-Star Recruit
I was posting on a TCU message board about Baylor. If you don't know, my roots are at Baylor. My whole family attended Baylor except for me. I'll be headed up to Lincoln in January. Anyways, we get to talking about how they think Baylor should get kicked out of the Big 12. I think otherwise seeing as how they're middle of the pack in overall national championships and are competitive in all sports excluding football, and they're actually on the rise in football now. Eventually, Nebraska football comes into play after I stated (if they didn't see my username lol) that I was a Nebraska fan and I referred to them as a traditional powerhouse. The gentlemen from TCU responded with a hilarious joke...
"So since 2001, how many B12 titles has Nebraka won? Doesn't a powerhouse at least win their conference every third year or so? Even in the Big Bad Big 12?
There is no debating Nebraska's overall greatness in the history of college football, especially in the 80s up to 2001. For most of that time (and the two decades before) the Frogs were not even close. Some years - see the 70s - the Frogs were downright abysmal.
Take note - Tommy Frazier, Turner Gill, Mike Rozier, etc. don't inhabit Lincoln any more. And Tom Osbourne is no longer the coach. The B12 North has been the cumulative whipping boy of the B12 South for 5 years now.
Might take a look at where the Frogs have finished the last 5 seasons compared to your sacred, beloved Huskers before you start throwing stones. I'm sure our boys would be glad to have Nebraska pay a return visit for the Frogs' trip to Lincoln in 2001. You might, however, not like the outcome."
TCU beating UNL? ARE YOU KIDDING?! LMFAO. Hillaarrriiiooouuussss. Funny. They beat Baylor and schedule Texas for the next year and somehow think they can run with the big boys. Somebody tell these guys that they're still in the Mountain West and barely beat Baylor last year lol.
